Ruby Rose Langenheim is an Australian television presenter, actress, model, and disc jockey born on the 20^th of March 1986. She rose to fame in the role she played in the film XXX: Return of Xander Cage in 2017 and John Wick: Chapter 2 in 2017. She came out as a lesbian at the age of twelve.  At the time, she was convinced that she was a boy and went ahead to save money to be physically transformed into a male. As a result, of her gender identity, Rose faced a lot of discrimination and gender violence that was both physical and verbal. At some point at a young age, her relative sexually abused her. Facing all these struggles as a child and having no one to guide her, she experienced suicidal thoughts severally. She attempted to take away her life, even as she struggled with mental health issues.

Ruby Rose has publicly identified as gender fluid and can be attracted to both males and females.  She came out publicly a week after the release of Break Free where she transformed from a feminine look into a heavily tattooed man. Rose came out saying, 鈥�I am very gender fluid and feel more like I wake up every day sort of gender neutral.”  However, she prefers using the feminine pronouns but she also uses they/them. She went ahead to say that if she was to choose a sex, she would go for the male sex, but prefers having the same body parts. She said, 鈥淚 think at this stage I will stay a woman but … who knows. I’m so comfortable right now I feel wonderful about it, but I also fluctuate a lot,”

Over the past years, Rose has been in relationships, and her love story continues to unfold. She was engaged to Phoebe Dahl, a fashion designer in 2014 but their relationship ended in December 2014. She was engaged again to singer Jess Origliasso from October 2016 to April 2018.
