The Richardson Family Murders: 10 Haunting Facts About Them

Sadly, three members of the Richardson family were brutally killed on April 2006. The killings took place in Canada Medicine Hat, Alberta. Jasmine Richardson, the family鈥檚 12-year-old daughter, and her 23-year-old boyfriend Jeremy Steinke, who now goes by the name Jackson May, plotted and carried out the killings.

The bodies of Marc Richardson and his wife Debra were discovered on April 23, 2006, in the basement of their home. Tyler Jacob, 8, was discovered upstairs. Fears that Jasmine might have been a victim arose because she was absent.

However, she and her partner were eventually both taken into custody. The daughter of the Richardson family and his strange boyfriend stabbed the Richardson family with knives, mutilating them as a result. It shocks people when kids commit murder. The idea of children killing their parents is even more unbelievable. Jasmine Richardson, who was 12 years old when the crime was committed, is the youngest person ever to be charged with multiple counts of murder in Canada.

Steinke initially killed Jasmine鈥檚 parents downstairs that fateful night by stabbing them. He then walked upstairs, where Jasmine attacked her younger brother, Tyler Jacob, stabbing him in the chest as he cried out for help. Jeremy then cut the boy鈥檚 throat to put an end to his life. He was gurgling, according to Jasmine鈥檚 testimony in court.

4. The Murder Motive was Because Jasmine鈥檚 Parents Disapproved of Her Relationship with Steinke

Jasmine鈥檚 friends claimed that due to the age difference, Richardson鈥檚 parents had given her the boot for dating Steinke. At a punk rock performance in 2006, 23-year-old Jeremy Steinke, a self-described 300-year-old werewolf, allegedly met 12-year-old Jasmine Richardson.

Jasmine鈥檚 family was naturally outraged when they learned about her 23-year-old 鈥渨别谤别飞辞濒蹿鈥 boyfriend. They grounded her and prevented her from meeting her much older love interest.

This was sufficient justification for Jasmine and Jeremy to murder the parents. Although Jasmine had repeatedly considered killing her parents with friends, none of them had ever taken her seriously.
