His older sister, Justine Priestley is also a well-renowned actress. Justine Priestley has acted in several movies with the popular one being in the 90210 spin-offs Melrose Place.

She appeared in several episodes of this series in 1996. Jason Bradford Priestley is also a renowned actor.

Priestley began his television career in early 1987 and did well in creating his brand in acting and directing.

In 1990, Jason Bradford Priestley was selected as Brandon Walsh on one of the worldwide famed series Beverly Hills, 90210.

3. Jason Crashed His Porsche on a Telephone Pole

Rising fast into fame, Jason Priestley had to buy some luxurious cars to match up with life in Hollywood. In 1999, Priestley had bought a Porsche which was among his favourite rides.

However, he crashed his Porsche into a telephone pole in Hollywood which led to his arrest. He was found to be driving while under influence. His licence was suspended for a year for this offence.

Other than the suspension, Jason Priestley was also ordered to complete an alcohol management program.

Two years later on 2nd July 2007, Jason Priestley and Naomi Lowde had their first daughter Ava Veronica. On 13th April 2009, Jason Priestley and his wife announced their expectations for the second born.

Their son, Dashiell Orson was born on 9th July 2009.

He later on transitioned to circuit racing in 1996. Jason drove Ford Mustangs in various competitions. On 11th August 2002, Jason Priestley almost lost his life after he was involved in a grisly accident during practice.

While at the Kentucky Speedway, his Indy Pro Series car crashed into a wall while on a speed of 180 miles per hour. He suffered serious injuries, but he later on, recovered well.

He was nominated for the best young actor supporting role in a TV series. In 1993, Priestley was Nominated for the Golden Globe Awards for the best performance by an Actor in a TV series, Beverly Hills, 90210.

Later in 1995, he was also nominated for the Golden Globe Awards. This was also for the best performance by an Actor on a TV series.

In 2003, Jason got Nominated for the Gemini awards. This was for the best performance or host in a variety of programs and/or series.

8. Priestley is a Big Fan of Barenaked Ladies Band

Jason also has a liking for music and his favourite band is the Barenaked Ladies. He attended several concerts of the Barenaked Ladies band in California in the mid-1990s.

Jason, later on, met with the band and revealed his desire to see them prosper. He directed their music video 鈥淭he Old Apartment鈥�.

He invited them to play at the 鈥淧each Pit After Dark鈥� in the Beverly Hills series.

9. Priestley Punched American Film Producer

In 1995, Jason Priestley had an altercation with American film producer Harvey Weinstein. The controversy happened at the Golden Globes party.

Jason revealed that Harvey Weinstein had asked him to leave the party, but he held onto his arm as he was leaving. During the altercation, Jason Priestley punched Harvey Weinstein in the face which led to a scene.

This scene was caused by Harvey who escalated it because Jason Priestley never knew who he was.

Jessica Alba once claimed that guest actors were not supposed to look at star actors of Beverly Hills, 90210.

However, Jason Priestley rebuked this claim as he stated that it was his responsibility to make the guest stars feel welcomed.

Speaking on Kiss 92.5, Jason revealed that the cast was not aware of that claim as they wanted all Actors to be successful.
