10 Best Bakeries in Luxor, Egypt

Luxor is located on the River Nile East Bank in the southern part of Egypt. The town is about 500 kilometers  from the capital city, Cairo.

It is home to the ancient Thebes, famous for being the capital of the pharaohs during the height of their power from the 16th to 11th centuries B.C.
The town sits on the bank of River Nile giving it a beautiful view.

Always an option to have breakfast particularly in the morning when the sun rise reflects the waters of River Nile.

Exceptionally best bakeries to pick items for a best family tea options. Egypt has very friendly people as well as very good staff in almost all the bakerries.

1. The View Restaurant

It has a 5 stars rating and very particular during the COVID-19 restrictions. This apply even now where face masks are required for both public and staff.

They have an outstanding welcoming by Ahmed, who keeps the visitors warm and the whole of customer service protocol is  centric . However, Ahmed carried the day in this place. He is so helpful and supporting the whole gests.

The food is nice, and the variety of the breakfast choices satisfies all preferences. The staff are all very friendly, and attentive to detail about the client’s orders.

2. La Patisserie

The wonderful five star rated La Patisserie has the best coffee latte with profishinal real service from members of staff. Their drinks in the La pstisserie cafe is excellent!

Best services ever you can receive hospitality is great, place is so clean and stuff are so welcoming to be around Food and drink are so good. However, during the COVID-19 period, all restrictions are considered and implemented.

3. El Abd Pastry

Rated 4.5 stars, the place is the best pastry shop in Cairo, so much to choose and the prices great.

A favorite place to visit for ice cream, the bakery and the oriental sweets as well. Locals love  their konafa filled with cream, their balah el sham filled with cream, their chocolate cookies and croissants.

Fresh all the way, satisfying portions, and very reasonable prices.

4. KEKI Japanese Bakery & Specialty Coffee

Comfortable atmosphere set in minimal Japanese esthetic. Variety of great tasting desserts, from their specialty fluffy cheesecakes, to pancakes, and cakes. Best breakfast and coffee within 50km radius and let’s not forget the friendly cordial service. Try it, you’ll love it!

They have the new breakfast at KeKi in Galleria40. There desserts are excellent. More importantly, savoury is the thing to pick.

The grilled cheese sandwich and the potato salad side dish is awesome. Both are very delicious, the touch of garlic in the sandwich was just right up my alley. The potato salad has a balanced combination of savoury and slightly sweet.

Try their latte after the meal which is as good as we are I was told to expect. There was no room for dessert. So will have to go back again to try their signature Japanese cheese cake or their fluffy pancakes.

5. Paul Mall of Egypt

Famous in Egypt and rated Rated 4 star. Locals love to have breakfast. Many travel miles especially weekends to enjoy their early morning  espresso makiato & the chocolate millfeuille , smoked salmon with capers & onions sandwich, & their pastry and salads

Both of this branch and Arab mall are great Quality and service are sustainable and consistent. They set an example of long lasting service provider. The guest relationship is of high standards.

6. Nola

The bakery has a pleasing meals. One outstanding item is the vegan cupcakes options in their menu!! The most delicious is their vanilla blueberry,  super moist, fluffy and with the most creamy and delightful buttercream on top.

Although the staff don’t speak much English they are perfectly able to point out  their vegan options straightway, the ingredients that had on it and they also knew what “vegan” means.

They have a branch at City Stars Mall. They are a four star rated bakery.

7. El Ahram Bakery

8. Farahat Pastry

I can not stress this enough, this place is the most famous restaurant in Cairo to eat stuffed pigeons, plus it serves the best ribs ( no pig), and a variety of grilled meats. It is always crowded.

That should not stop anyone from visiting as it has a loving menu and of course they offer fast services.

Having Pigeon Meal at Farahat Pastry is great and will enjoy very tasty stuffed or grilled pigeons together with the special soup.

This is a local Egyptian restaurant known for its stuffed pigeons all over the Middle East. We had stuffed Pigeons and Kebabs. You need to lower your expectations in terms of service and cleanliness in these restaurants. Here is my review:

9. The Bakery

They have lots of lovely pastries, too, but we resisted! I put that the restaurant doesn’t have table service but you can order at the counter and they will bring your food to the table.

A place to enjoy a cold bliss under the sun and enjoy a cold beer.  If it is cold, they have a place to sit and enjoy the breakfast.  People sit on a table outside in the corridor.

They have cheese & turkey panini & tuna sandwich. The panini can be cold, Always ask the staff to warm otherwise lemon, orange and mango juice are absolutely delicious!

10. Ratios Bakery

This place is a minor miracle. It’s not always easy to find quality food in Egypt, but the food here is superb and delicious. The croissants are excellent, and the quiches are among the best in Egypt.  The lemon tart is also definitely worth trying.

Excellent bakery in the heart of maadi. The food is delicious and the staff are wonderful and treat their regulars well.

Bakeries in Egypt are an excellent choice of breakfast menus which one can enjoy 12 months an year.  However, the view of River Nile is cool and very cool, always best choice if one is visiting Egypt.
