In 2000, Thomas Muller joined Bayern Munich at age 11. He rose through the club鈥檚 rigorous and brutal youth system. In 2007, he was part of Bayern鈥檚 U19 side that finished second in the Bundesliga.

In March of 2008, he made his debut for Bayern鈥檚 reserve (U23) team. On 15th August 2008, Muller made his full debut for Bayern鈥檚 senior team under then-manager J眉rgen Klinsmann.

Muller made his debut in the 2008/09 season under J眉rgen Klinsmann. He made 3 Bundesliga appearances in the season as well as his champions league debut. He signed his first senior contract in February 2002, a 2-year deal from the 2009/10 season.

After his first season, Muller expected to be loaned or transferred out of the club for first-team minutes. However, a change in management saw the appointment of Lois van Gaal which brought new fortunes for Muller.

He was a regular for Bayern in the 2009/10 season, named in the starting 11 for the majority of the season. In February 2010, he was rewarded with a new contract that would run until 2013.

He has made 641 competitive appearances for Bayern Munich as of November 2022. She holds the record for the outfield player with the most appearances for Bayern Munich. Generally, he is second in terms of appearances second only to former Bayern goalkeeper Sepp Maier.

Muller is also the player with the most assists in both Bayern and Bundesliga history. He ranks third in terms of goals scored for Bayern lagging behind Gerd Muller (no relation) and Robert Lewandowski.

Muller has won 10 Bundesliga titles in a row, 11 in total. Six DFB-Pokal trophies. Seven DFL-Supercup wins. Two Champions League wins, with the UEFA Super Cup and Club World Cups alongside them both.

To top that all off, one 2014 World Cup. This tallies to 31 trophies, making him one of the most decorated players in world football. The tally also makes him the most decorated German footballer in history.

Thomas Muller got his first call up in for Germany in January 2010. He made his debut in a 1-0 loss against Argentina in the same month.

Muller was part of Germany鈥檚 2010 World Cup squad. He played a part in most matches in the competition including the third-place playoff where he scored. Germany finished in third place in the tournament.

Muller finished the 2010 WC with 5 goals and was the joint top scorer. He was also voted Best Young Player of the tournament.

In 2014, Thomas Muller also had a fantastic World Cup as he scored 5 goals in the Tournament. This included the opening goal in the humiliating 7-1 win over hosts Brazil.
