The Nazi government has been known to be the most brutal governments there ever was. The Nazi regime did not respect human beings and particularly Jews, activists, homosexuals, and Roma people. These were innocent people who were imprisoned and tortured and as a result, millions of innocent people were murdered in concentration camps. These concentration camps were intended to be places of utmost brutality, where inmates suffered from malnutrition, forced labour, medical experimentation, and mass execution.

The conditions in these camps were horrific, and the crimes against captives left a blemish on human history. Let’s look at ten horrifying facts about concentration camps during World War Two.

The Nazi regime began a deliberate campaign of murder and persecution during the Holocaust to eliminate all Jews. Concentration camps, gas chambers, and mass shootings all over Europe resulted in the methodical death of over 6 million Jews.

Prisoners were forced to survive on minimal supplies that were barely enough to support life. There was almost no sanitization, and the filthy living conditions and overflowing latrines caused a great deal of sickness and death.

Throughout World War Two, concentration camp inmates dealt with a variety of serious fatal health issues. Because prisoners were treated like slaves, they did a lot of work and were forced to work while hungry for many days. These conditions made things worse which meant that they were prone to disease outbreaks like typhus, TB, and diarrhoea.

As a result of the camps’ overcrowding and poor sanitation, diseases that claimed countless lives were easily started and quickly spread by diseases. Prisoners hardly received medical attention, and their problems went untreated.
