The magic circle was established or invented to primarily amaze people. This is because in magic many people get to see things that either they have not seen before. Magic as a Useful Category of Historical Analysis.

Magic has been performed in the world since ancient times. In the 20th century, magic was performed by the Maji Maji rebellion people who were trying to oppose colonialism in German East Africa modern-day Tanzania.

The insurgents turned to magic to drive out the German colonizers and used it as a unifying force in the rebellion. A spirit medium named Kinjikitile Ngwale gave his followers war medicine that would turn German bullets into the water but the magic medicine failed to work. 1. Simo Aalto

Ever heard of Simo Aalto the world champion in closeup 2000 in Lissabon? Well, today he happens to be one of the world’s greatest of a time in the magi performing circle. Simo Aalto is a magician who became popular in Finland in the 1980s.

He established Joker Poker Box, which is labelled an artist-festival tour he owns with his wife Kirsti. Aalto is known for a wide range of skills from fingertip systems to illusions. He also specializes in abdominal distension, imitation, and several tricks.

2. David Abbott

David Phelps Abbott was an American magician, author and inventor known for creating effects such as the floating ball and for his publications exposing mediums. He performed for guests only in his private theatre which he built at his home.

There he demonstrated his Talking Teakettle and Talking Vase. Abbott built his work of magic and deception on the devious principles he learned from spirit mediums. His most well-known work was Behind the Scenes with the Mediums published in 1907.

3. Rob Zabrecky

Robert Zabrecky is an American actor, author, magician, and songwriter. His career began as a musician while being the frontman for the band Possum Dixon. Later in his career, he found success as a magician, actor, and author.

Zabrecky is best known for the aberrant magician character he portrays by combining irreverent dark humour, mentalism and an artful use of elongated pauses in performances. In 2014 and 2015 he was voted “Parlour Magician of the Year” by the same organization.

4. Julius and Agnes Zancig

Julius and Agnes Zancig were stage magicians and authors on occultism who performed a spectacularly successful two-person mentalism act during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Julius Zancig born Julius J枚rgensen and his wife Agnes Claussen J枚rgensen commonly known as Agnes Zancig were the originators of the routine.

The Zancigs managed to fool many spiritualists into believing they had genuine psychic powers. Julius later confessed that their mentalist acts were based on a complex code that they had utilized.

5. Steve Wyrick

Steve Wyrick is an American magician from Garland, Texas. Wyrick is best known for performing as a headliner in Las Vegas, Nevada for more than 15 years, having starred at Planet Hollywood Resort/Casino, Aladdin Casino, Sahara Casino, and the Las Vegas Hilton. He was featured in The World’s Greatest Magic series on NBC in the 1990s.

Wyrick has appeared on various television shows, including Late Night with David Letterman, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The History Channel, and VH1’s Celebracadabra.

Wyrick also appeared on TLC’s American Chopper with the Teutel Family of Orange County Choppers. This is when they presented Wyrick with a custom-made chopper dubbed “SW1000” in honour of Wyrick’s 1,000th performance at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.

6. Dominic Wood

Dominic Simon “Dom” Wood is an English entertainer, magician and presenter of radio and television, best known as one half of the double act Dick and Dom, with the other being Richard McCourt. Wood was at one point the youngest member of the magician’s society The Magic Circle.

7. Paul Zenon

Paul Zenon born Paul Collins is an English stage and TV magician, comedian, presenter and writer. He is the author of three books on magic, proposition bets and practical jokes, and an expert on the history of magic and magicians, variety, and unusual entertainment.

Zenon is a Member of the Inner Magic Circle with Gold Star status and was the recipient of the Carlton Award for Comedy in 2015, the Sir Ken Dodd Comedy Award in 2017, presented by the man himself, the Neville King Award for Lifetime Achievement in 2019, and the David Berglas Award for Outstanding Contribution to Magic, also in 2019.

8. Anton Zamloch

Anton Zamloch, also known as 鈥淧rofessor Zamloch鈥 and 鈥淶amloch the Great,鈥 was an American magician who toured with his magic act from 1869 through 1912. Zamloch performed at mining camp 鈥渙pera houses鈥 in the wild west, New York theatres and locations in Mexico, Hawaii, Canada and across the United States.

His act grew to a large size, and he travelled with three assistants and 鈥渙ver a ton of baggage.鈥 Some newspaper accounts described him as 鈥渢he greatest magician of the age.鈥 His other notable trick was to make a birdcage containing two birds vanish.

9. Michael Vincent

Michael Vincent is a British magician. He won The Magic Circle’s Close-up Magician of the Year award three times; 1983, 1991, and 2003. In 2001, Vincent made the national newspapers in the United Kingdom, when he was hired by Scotland Yard to give a course to 20 top police chiefs involving the use of magic tricks to demonstrate communication skills.

Michael appeared on Penn & Teller: Fool Us on ITV1 on 7 January and again on 16 July 2011 demonstrating close-up magic. Although he did not outfox Penn & Teller with either of his magic tricks, he nevertheless won praise for his classical technique and exemplary sleight of hand and was regarded by Penn as one of his favourite performers.

10. Dai Vernon

Dai Vernon a.k.a. The Professor, was a Canadian magician. His sleight-of-hand technique and knowledge, particularly with card tricks and close-up magic, garnered him respect among fellow magicians, and he was a mentor to other magicians.
