Rania who was born in August 1970 has been the Queen of Jordan as the wife of King Abdullah II. She was born in Kuwait to Palestinian parents. Raina received her bachelor’s degree in business at the American University in Cairo.

She and her family escaped to Amman, Jordan, in 1991 after the Gulf War, where she eventually met Prince Abdullah of Jordan. Raina worked for Citibank before meeting him and later joined Apple Inc.’s marketing division.

At a dinner celebration in  1993, Rania first met Prince Abdullah bin Al-Hussein of Jordan. In 1993, they got hitched.  Their nuptials were observed as a national holiday. The couple has four kids together.

She has gained recognition for her advocacy efforts in the fields of education, health, community empowerment, youth, intercultural communication, and microfinance since she wed Abdullah in 1993.

Rania, the Queen of Jordan and a supporter of women’s rights, was recognized by Forbes in 2009 as one of the most powerful women in the world. She has commented, “It’s an honor and a privilege to have the chance to make a difference.”

2. She founded the Jordan River Foundation which helps improve the lives of women and children in Jordan

To help women and children in Jordan enjoy better lives, Queen Rania established the Jordan River Foundation in 1995. As the founder, the Queen of Jordan interacts with kids all around the nation. She recently made fun of the fact that when kids first meet her, they are occasionally unhappy to see that she is not wearing her crown.

3. Queen Raina has been an Advocate of Cross-cultural peace dialogue

In order to promote international conversation and challenge Western perceptions and misconceptions of Arabs and Muslims, Queen Rania launched her own YouTube channel in 2007.

She received the Council of Europe’s “North-South Prize” in 2009 in recognition of her dedication to intercultural outreach. The king and queen received the “Seeds of Peace Award” in recognition of their efforts to advance international harmony.

4. She has  4 children’s books published

The Sandwich Swap, Eternal Beauty, Maha of the Mountains, and The King’s Gift are four children’s stories written by Queen Rania that were influenced by her own upbringing.

She also launched Madrasati Jordan, an education initiative aimed at improving the learning environment in 500 public schools, with the goal of enhancing children’s learning and enhancing education in Jordan. All proceeds from her portion of “The Sandwich Swap,” a New York Times bestseller, went to this cause.

5. Queen Rania also advocates on a global scale for children all around the world to have access to high-quality education

She advocates globally for children’s access to high-quality education. Her Majesty supported the One Goal initiative for education in 2009. She also served as the Global Honorary Chair of the UN Girl’s Education Initiative and has promoted educational access in forums and gatherings around the world.

Several educational and learning-related activities have been started and supported by Queen Rania. According to Queen Rania, providing young people with the skills they need to function effectively in the profession is a crucial component of education.

6. She has accepted numerous honors for her work locally, regionally, and internationally

Her Majesty has graciously received numerous accolades for her work on a local, regional, and international level. The World Childhood Award, presented by Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden, the Foreign Press Association Humanitarian Award, the Andrea Bocelli Foundation Humanitarian Award, the Walther Rathenau Award, the Atlantic Council Global Citizen Award, the James C. 7. Also Queen Raina launched Jordan’s first Interactive  Children’s Museum

The Children’s Museum in Jordan, where kids may learn via play and interactions with indoor and outdoor displays, was inaugurated by Queen Rania in 2007. It is accessible to kids from all socioeconomic backgrounds and throughout Jordan.

8. She also established the Royal Awareness Society (RHAS)

In order to inform parents and kids about the fundamentals of diet and cleanliness, the advantages of exercise, the dangers of smoking, and other health-related topics, Queen Rania founded the Royal Health Awareness Society (RHAS) in 2005. 

The Queen Rania Children’s Hospital, erected in 2011 to enhance medical care for Jordanian children, is the country’s first specialized medical facility. The hospital offers care for kids, especially for complicated medical conditions such as organ transplants and endoscopic procedures.

9. The Queen was named as UNICEF’S first Eminent Advocate for children

Queen Rania was invited to participate in the Global Leadership Initiative by UNICEF in 2000. This was in honor of her dedication to the welfare of children and youth.

Early in 2002, Queen Rania joined the International Youth Foundation’s board of directors. This American organization is situated in Baltimore, Maryland.  Queen Rania was appointed as UNICEF’s first Eminent Advocate for Children in  2007.  Also, Queen Rania was appointed Honorary Global Chair of the United Nations Girls’ Education Initiative in 2009. 10. She has been known as a strong believer in microfinance way to help poorer countries

Queen Rania joined the board of directors of the Foundation for International Community Assistance in 2003. She is a major supporter of microfinance as a means of assisting people in less developed nations to launch enterprises (FINCA).
