1. The Statue of Liberty

The statue of liberty is a colossal neoclassical sculpture in London and was a gift from the people of France in honor of the alliance between the two countries during the American revolution. It made its way to America on June 17, 1885.

The metal framework was built by Gustave Eiffel who built the Eiffel Tower. It was dedicated on October 28, 1886.

The statue’s full name is Liberty Enlightening the World. The female figure in the statue is Libertas who was the Roman goddess of freedom

2. The Brooklyn Bridge

The Brooklyn Bridge is a hybrid suspension bridge in New York. It was opened on 24th May 1883.

During the time of its opening, it was the longest bridge in the world. It was built by John Augustus Roebling. He was a great pioneer in the design of steel suspension bridges.

It is very recognizable thanks to its size, location, and its granite towers and steel cables. 

3. Times Square

Times Square is a major commercial intersection, tourist destination, and entertainment hub in New York.

At first, it was intended to be Metropolitan Opera but it failed in 1929.

The construction of the Radio City Music Hall began and was opened on 27th December 1932 as part of the construction of Rockefeller Center.

16. Grand Central Terminal
