Albufeira will host its biggest wine event between Friday and Sunday (April 12-14, 2024) at the Espaço Multiusos de Albufeira. The Portuguese Wine Show (Grande Mostra de Vinhos de Portugal) is organized by the Confraria do Bacchus de Albufeira and Albufeira Municipal Council. The event is set to feature hundreds of some of the best Portuguese wines around. 

Albufeira is a popular resort town in the Algarve region, known for its stunning coastline, and sun-drenched golden beaches. Just about two and a half hours away from Lisbon, it  is one of the coolest day trips from the capital. This event attracts many wine-lovers, who also enjoy what the town has to offer.  Around 9,000 people attended last year, and the organizers hope to match these numbers.

Discover ‘hidden secrets’

Attendees can expect coming across some of the latest additions to the Portuguese wine market. Besides common brands widely accessible in wine shops, this event will bring together wines made by small-scale producers too, allowing visitors to discover some tasty ‘hidden secrets’.

Get Ready! It is the 91st Edition of the International Horse Show in Rome

Besides the wine tasting and display, the Portuguese Wine Show will also host the 9^th Portugal Wine Contest. The competition will features several wines contending for the title of the best national wine. A jury of experts will sit for the same to determine the winner.

Times

Running from Friday to Sunday, the show will begin at 3 pm for all three days. On Friday, it will close at 8 pm. Saturday and Sunday’s show will end at 9 pm. While admission is free, one must buy the event’s official glass for €5 to taste the wines.
