Beyond its sunny beaches, the Algarve region in Portugal has come up top with some of the best water parks around.  According to latest rankings for 2024, the region is home to two of best 20 water parks in Europe.

  Water Park in Estômbar, Lagoa secured a coveted spot at number 10 on the list. This aquatic haven offers fun time for all ages with 25 attractions, including heart-pounding water slides, a relaxing Olympic-sized pool, and dedicated zones designed specifically for children.  The park also has a vast area with several restaurants, a souvenir shop and sun loungers.

At 13th place is Park in Quarteira, Loule.  This park is known for its impressive wave pools, exhilarating water coaster, a Jacuzzi for up to 60 people, and a rocky area with waterfalls. It is recognized by the travel website for its massive water roller coaster, which is the largest in Europe!

Topping the list was Spain’s Siam Park, located in Tenerife. Poland’s Energylandia park and Paphos Aphrodite Waterpark in Cyprus scooped second and third place respectively.

Visitors planning a trip to the Algarve and looking for a fun-filled day of aquatic adventures, can check out Slide & Splash or Aquashow Park. With their exciting rides, relaxing areas, and family-friendly atmosphere, these water parks are quite likely worth a visit.
