Thousands of Praguers chose Vinohrady neighborhood as one of the best places in Prague, ranking it among the world’s coolest neighborhoods in an annual TimeOut magazine pool. Over 12,000 respondents were involved in the survey from different cities around the world.

Vinohrady rounded in the top 30 great places in the world for fun, food, culture, and community for both locals and visitors in the survey. Some of the factors considered in the ranking were community and social ventures in the area, access to open and green spaces as well as a thriving street life. Other considerations were the locals’ favorite places, where visitors flock, and more.

In 2023, Prague recorded 7.44 million guests in its accommodation establishments, according to the German online data specialist platform, Statista. Tourism experts cite the question of where to stay when visiting Prague as a popular concern for most travelers.

What Makes Vinohrady Notable?

Located in Prague 2 district, Vinohrady is a walking distance from the city center. About a 15-minute walk from one of Prague’s main squares, Wenceslas Square. It is also easily accessible via affordable taxis, tram, and metro connections.
