China’s Premier Airline Set to Make a Grand Comeback to Budapest’s Skies

Budapest Airport, the main airport in Hungary, is getting ready to welcome back Hainan Airlines, one of the biggest airlines from China. has reported that, starting June 21st, 2024, Hainan Airlines will fly from Shenzhen to Budapest twice a week. The return of Hainan Airlines to Budapest Airport brings forth a new era of increased air travel between Hungary and China.

The arrival of the Airlines at Budapest Airport marks a significant boost in travel and trade between these two states. Hainan Airlines Global, which has one of the biggest fleets in the world, will offer flights connecting Shenzhen, a major Chinese city, with Budapest.

Additionally, China Southern Airlines is gearing up to launch a new direct service connecting Guangzhou with Budapest, starting on the 27th of June. These new flights show that flying between China and Hungary is becoming more important. Right now, there aren’t any direct flights from Budapest to the United States, so it’s easier for people in Hungary to get to China than to North America.

Even though it’s not clear when there will be direct flights from Hungary to the US, the increase in flights from China to Hungary shows that both countries want to make it easier to travel and work together.
