Emerald Airlines, the exclusive operator of Aer Lingus Regional, has announced an expansion of its service between Aberdeen and Dublin, offering passengers even more convenient access to the Irish capital with up to two flights per day starting this September.

Ian Lough, Head of Commercial at Emerald Airlines, expressed his enthusiasm about the increased services, stating that the expanded schedule reflects customer demand and provides passengers with greater choice and flexibility in their travel plans, whether for business or leisure.

 Chris Tibbett, Aero Director at AGS Airports, welcomed the additional flights, emphasizing the increased options for customers and the enhanced connectivity to Aer Lingus’ vast North American network. With the expanded service, it becomes easier for both Aberdonians to visit Dublin and for visitors from Ireland to explore the beauty of the North-East of Scotland.

 Aer Lingus Regional will operate up to two daily flights on key days of the week—Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday—allowing passengers to plan weekend getaways to the Irish capital. The report also highlighted the various attractions Dublin has to offer, from its parks and lively pubs to traditional Irish music sessions in Temple Bar.

 Notably, the expansion of the Aberdeen-Dublin route will facilitate onward connectivity from Aberdeen to several North American cities, including New York, Boston, Chicago, Washington D.C., San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, Philadelphia, and Toronto. Passengers flying to the US can also take advantage of US Immigration Pre-clearance at Dublin Airport, bypassing lengthy immigration queues upon arrival in the US.

 The report also mentioned the additional benefit of Aer Lingus Regional’s twice-daily service from Dublin Airport to Donegal in the Northwest of Ireland, known for its title as the most scenic landing strip in the world.
