reported that Budapest’s metro will soon have a new section that goes straight to Déli railway station, so people won’t have to change trains at Örs vezér Square anymore. This project is more than expanding the metro; it’s a strategic plan to improve travel to and from Budapest’s outer districts, like the Xth, XIVth, and XVIth.

It also includes nearby areas such as Csömör, Gödöllő, Kistarcsa, Kerepes, and Mogyoród. By combining the metro with the HÉV suburban rail, it will greatly benefit those living on the edges of the city who need better transportation.

The famous Royal Palace of Gödöllő, which attracts many visitors, will soon be easier to get to. The European Union is supporting this project, which will start planning soon and begin building in two to three years.
