While in Rome, the Colosseum is one of the favorite tourist attraction centers in the eternal city for several reasons. Also referred to as the Flavian Amphitheatre, Rome’s Colosseum is a majestic historic site located at the heart of the city. This historic sports center is open on Sunday, April 7 for free entry for some special groups.

The Colosseum is one of the oldest and remains the largest Amphitheatre ever constructed showing the advanced roan engineering in the past. This marvel was constructed between 70 and 80 AD.

Who will have free entry to the Colosseum? If you are a citizen under the age of eighteen, then there is free entry to the Colosseum for you. Other people who will have free access to this historic site include people living with a disability and their family members or partners who belong to the social health assistance services, the European Union tourist guides who will be on duty, and tourist interpreters.

Other guests to the free entry in the Colosseum include employees of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities, teachers and students in the field of architecture, journalists who have paid a membership fee, and members of the International Council Museum.

If you are in one of the mentioned groups, there is a free treat to learn about Rome’s Colosseum. Even those who are not part of these special groups need to mark the date because normal daily activities at the Colosseum will be halted.
