East London’s beloved restaurant, Pidgin, is set to close its doors for the last time on August 18th. Pidgin, known for its innovative and different weekly menus and commitment to seasonal, locally sourced ingredients, has been a Hackney staple since its opening in 2015. The restaurant quickly gained a reputation for its exceptional food and warm, welcoming atmosphere.

In an , the restaurant announced the closure, extending gratitude to the team and clientele for the support. The post read, ‘ There are inevitably too many people to thank, too many highlights to mention, to many dishes to recall, so for now we will say a huge thank you to the current team….and to you, for all of your support over the years.’

While the closure is undoubtedly a loss for the London dining scene, there is a silver lining. The space will be taken over by the restaurant’s current head chef, Drew Snaith, and former manager, Hannah Kowalski. The duo plans to open a new restaurant called Sesta in September.

As the countdown to Pidgin’s final service begins, food lovers are rushing to secure a table at this iconic restaurant. If you’ve never had the pleasure of dining at Pidgin, now is your last chance to experience the hype yourself.
