With a relationship spanning more than three decades, Louis Vuitton is returning to Barcelona, the city where it established its first Spanish boutique in 1987.

This time, the iconic French fashion house is set to kickstart the summer in style, presenting its highly-anticipated 2025 Cruise collection at the city’s famed Park Güell on May 23.

The announcement has sent ripples of excitement through the fashion world, as Louis Vuitton is renowned for its extravagant and architectural backdrops for its resort shows.

Artistic Director Nicolas Ghesquière, who has helmed the brand’s womenswear since 2013, has a penchant for choosing extraordinary settings, from the Isola Bella island in Italy’s Lake Maggiore for the 2024 collection to the upcoming spectacle at Park Güell.

Designed by the legendary architect Antoni Gaudí, Park Güell is a modernist masterpiece and one of Barcelona’s most iconic tourist attractions.

Its whimsical art nouveau and natural architectural style provide the perfect canvas for Ghesquière’s creative vision, promising a truly unforgettable fashion experience.

The deep-rooted connection between Louis Vuitton and Barcelona dates back to the 20th century when Georges Vuitton, son of the brand’s founder, participated in the 1929 Barcelona Universal Exposition, showcasing the house’s exquisite toiletry cases.

Louis Vuitton Chairman and CEO Pietro Beccari expressed his delight in collaborating with the city, stating, “It is an immense pleasure to collaborate with Barcelona, sharing common values with Louis Vuitton that are deeply anchored into a remarkable heritage and the passion for creativity.”

As fashion enthusiasts and industry insiders eagerly await the 2025 Cruise show, the anticipation builds for what promises to be a spectacular fusion of haute couture and architectural marvel.

With Nicolas Ghesquière at the helm and Park Güell as the backdrop, Louis Vuitton is set to elevate the fashion experience to new heights, blending its legacy of craftsmanship with the city’s rich cultural heritage.

Barcelona, a city that has long embraced Louis Vuitton, is now poised to witness the brand’s latest creative tour de force.

As the fashion world descends upon Park Güell on May 23, it will be a chance for attendees to soak in the city’s vibrant atmosphere while indulging in the luxury and artistry that Louis Vuitton has become synonymous with.
