From April 25 to 28, the Urban Art Fair will return to the Carreau du Temple to showcase the work of approximately 100 iconic street artists from France and around the world (Ernest Pignon-Ernest, Miss. Tic, Invader…).

Not one to be confined within four walls, the fair will spread throughout the capital, from the MUR d’Oberkampf to the Galeries Lafayette Champs-Elysées.

As with every year, some of the best urban artists will leave the Carreau to exhibit in various Parisian venues. Last year, in conjunction with the fair, the muralist Astro, known for his colorful trompe-l’oeil, took over the Galeries Lafayette Champs-Elysées’ atrium.

In 2024, the event’s partner, the department store on the mythical avenue, will give one of the edition’s headliners, the painter and globetrotting graffiti artist Seth, an unprecedented carte blanche.

Last December, you may have noticed his latest sculpture, which stands proudly on the Place du Louvre alongside his photo exhibition at the Carrousel du Louvre. If you missed it, “Jusqu’au ciel” – which depicts a young boy perched on cubes, his head in a 4-meter high cloud – will be on display at the Galeries Lafayette Champs-Elysées from April 16 to 29, along with two other new installations. From the entrance tunnel to the stairs, a disturbing anamorphic work transforms the department store into a portal to another world…
