The year 2024 is unique in the way Rome will celebrate its annual May Day concert. This event, celebrated on 1^st May, attracts many people in the city and around the world and marks the worker’s day in the city.

The last three decades have seen the concert held at its traditional venue just outside the S. Giovanni in Laterano. However, this year’s concert has been moved to the Circus Maximus, which would even attract more people.

The moving of the concert from its original venue is a move that has been made to facilitate the ongoing works in the Basilica as the ancient city continues to prepare for the Jubilee Year 2025.

The Festa dei Lavoratori is set to be on a Wednesday and will be marked with a concert, an annual musical event that celebrates Workers’ Day. This is not just an ordinary concert, as it is organized by Italy’s Trade Union. The concert will attract recognized artists alongside upcoming musicians from the music industry in the country.

Apart from enjoying the music and performances, the concert is also used to promote workers’ rights in the city. The stakeholders take the stage to condemn discrimination at workplaces and advocate for the safety of workers as well as proper pay.
