This bold compliment from Magic Johnson comes even before Wembanyama has even had a chance to play his first game in the NBA!
Wembanyama and Magic Johnson linked up in Paris at the courtside of an NBA game and what followed was a shower of compliments from the 5-time NBA champion.
Boasting a decorated career in the NBA, Magic Johnson led the 80s showtime Lakers to five championships all in the 80s. Johnson might have seen something special in the 7鈥�4鈥� French prodigy to make these calls.
Although Victor has got his highlights, Johnson crowning him the best player in the world might look too overboard for some NBA fans who think LeBron James is the best player in the world considering he is still a pivotal part of the Los Angeles Lakers.
It is also surprising knowing that both LeBron James and Magic Johnson played for the Los Angeles Lakers and it would be an obvious decision for Johnson to pick LeBron as the best player.
