Visitors to Prague and locals can celebrate Prague ranking number 7 worldwide among the best cities to explore on foot. The acclaimed free walking tours company, GuruWalk, released the report in April 2024.

According to , the survey involved 800 cities across 120 countries. The final ranking of the 100 best cities considered the number of bookings on GuruWalk’s website and compared the data to the page visits per destination between April 2023 and April 2024.

Per the report, visitors to Prague or the ‘City of a Hundred Spires’ appreciated its stunning architecture and historic attractions. Such as the Old Town, Charles Bridge, Prague Castle, St. Vitus Cathedral, and the Astronomical Clock drawing many visitors. Furthermore, visitors loved the closeness of these scenic landmarks to each other, enhancing their adventure.

Rome took the crown and Budapest was the runners-up. Barcelona, Madrid, and Florence rounded in the top five. Spain set a record as the most walkable country, with over 25 cities featured on the GuruWalk top 100 ranking.

Moreover, France and Italy had over five cities appearing on the list. More than one city represented the UK, Poland, Colombia, and Vietnam. Only New York City in the U.S. represented the country.
