The general public in Rome, including visitors and tourists, is invited to explore American culture through art created by present-day American artists. The collection of this section of art will be on exhibit at the Palazzo Barberini from April 14 to July 14. For three months, you can have the whole time in the world to learn deeply and understand American culture through art.

There are more than one hundred and fifty pieces of art at the Palazzo, created by various American artists. These are modern-day artists who are trying to ask a series of questions to American society by using art. Through these questions in the form of art, you get to understand American culture.

Several American artists, such as Cecily Brown, George Condo, Nicole Eisenman, Urs Fischer, Wade Guyton, Julie Mehretu, Richard Prince, Charles Ray, David Salle, Dana Schutz, Cindy Sherman, Lorna Simpson, Henry Taylor, and Christopher Wool, among others, have come together through art to question modern-day American society.

These fearless artists have stood tall to bring their grievances to the attention of the existing American culture. Their works have been placed in different rooms, with each room having pieces that tell a different story about American culture, ranging from racism to women’s rights, among other issues.

Head to the Palazzo Barberini and learn more about American culture.
