Kite enthusiasts from around the world will gather for the 23rd annual Streatham Common Kite Day on Sunday 12 May, from 11 am to 5 pm. This event, which has become a tradition in the Streatham community, attracts visitors of all ages who come to enjoy the spectacle of kites of all shapes and sizes taking to the sky.

Attendees can expect to see everything from tiny crafts to a life-sized blue whale kite measuring 30 metres in length. Some teams will even fly dancing kites synchronised with music, and there will be a special appearance by the Flying Fish, a husband and wife double act who were previously UK National Champions.

Kite enthusiasts who are inspired by the displays will have a chance to buy kites and get tips from experts. For those who want to participate, there is an opportunity to bring their own kites and join in the fun up in the sky.

In addition to the kite displays, there will be plenty of other activities to keep visitors entertained. Food and drink stalls, an ice cream van, a bouncy castle, face painting, and stalls run by local community groups will be available for attendees to enjoy.

Streatham Common Kite Day is a great opportunity for families and friends to come together and enjoy a day outdoors, surrounded by a community of kite enthusiasts. So mark your calendars and get ready for a day of fun and excitement on May 12th.
