Are you a Rome explorer who wants to know more about the surrounding cities and their history? Don’t worry,  Rome’s Scuderie del Quirinale is here to show you what Naples looked like in the nineteenth century. The exhibition began on March 27 and will end on July 16 after showing the world what Naples was like back in the day.

The main exhibition will show the paintings and pieces of art that were created in the surroundings of the city. If you are a local citizen in Rome or a visitor, head to the museum and learn more about the history of Naples. 

During the nineteenth century, several artists from all parts of the world flocked to Naples, attracted by the beautiful scenery and nature. According to Wanted in Rome, the ruins of Pompeii and Herculaneum, the sea, and the mountains facilitated the influx of artists before the outbreak of the First World War.

This exhibition has some of the paintings on display created by famous artists such as William Turner and John Singer Sargent, among others.

The exhibition allows visitors to explore an international viewpoint of Naples during the nineteenth century, when the city was flourishing with beauty. As a Roman lover, knowing about the beauty of the surrounding cities will help you appreciate what you have seen.
