The 178th shipping season of the Balaton Shipping Company will see the introduction of four new vessels, including two ferries built especially for cruising Lake Balaton’s waters. Two contemporary catamarans have also been added to the fleet, providing passengers with enhanced comforts and efficiency. Guests could take advantage of free voyages on this cutting-edge ship, giving them a sneak peek at what activities passengers can look forward to in the upcoming season.

The Bahart boat roadshow, which will highlight the new ships in several Balaton settlements so that people can see their characteristics and design up close, officially begins with this debut. The opening of the recently remodelled Tátika Restaurant in Badacsony, which will house Bahart’s new ticket office and improve accessibility for visitors, was one of the event’s highlights.

The new ships will be ready to take guests on amazing journeys when spring arrives, strategically positioned around Lake Balaton. While the “Balaton” catamaran will run in the Siófok-Balatonfüred-Tihany triangle, enabling connections along the southern to northern shore route, the “Tomaj” catamaran will service the route between Fonyód and Badacsony. Furthermore, the “Tihany” and “Szántód” ferries will offer quick and easy coast-to-coast crossings, guaranteeing passengers a smooth voyage.
