Film director Tim Burton was spotted in a local restaurant in Dublin and is believed to be here in readiness for a new season of the popular Netflix series Wednesday. Tim is renowned for his classic films like Edward Scissorhands, Corpse Bride and Batman Returns.
He was spotted at Guinea Restaurant in Dalkey where the restaurant shared a photo of him with the staff on social media with the caption
“Tonight we had the pleasure of looking after Tim Burton, a gentleman, who also took the time for a photo with us.”
Netflix, the streaming giant, confirmed in late November 2023 that their new filming location would be Ireland. This was after their initial shooting location, Romania, was said to have some logistical challenges.
The show, featuring Jenna Ortega, had over 250 million people stream the first season. This made it one of the most popular series on Netflix.
