French phenom chooses between Michael Jordan and LeBron James

But before Wembanyama joins the never-ending debate of who is the greatest basketball ever, he got a chance to make his choice and LeBron won鈥檛 be too happy about what Victor had to say.

In an exclusive interview with FIRST TEAM, Wemby responded to their question about who is the greatest player between LeBron James and Michael Jordan.

Victor raises a good point because the point of playing is winning and even though LeBron has reached 10 championships finals in his 20-year career, he has only managed to win four. On the other hand, Michael Jordan reached the NBA finals six times and he won all of them hence hanging up his boots with 6 rings.

Comparing the two only shows that MJ was more effective than Lebron but things could change if LeBron would be able to lead the LA Lakers to another ring this year.

If LeBron wins this year鈥檚 championship, he will have five rings this coming shortly after he surpassed Kareem as the NBA鈥檚 highest point scorer ever. Will LeBron winning another ring make him more effective in Victor鈥檚 eyes?

But a great point is raised by LeBron鈥檚 agent Rich Paul who claims that if the determinant of the NBA’s greatest player ever is solely based on the number of championships won, then Boston Celtics鈥檚 Bill Russell would be the greatest basketball player ever after he was part of the Celtics team that won 11 championships in the 50s and 60s.

Although Wembanyama might have chosen his 鈥楪OAT鈥�, LeBron James has however heaped praise on the 19-year-old. In an interview, LeBron said, 鈥淓verybody has been a unicorn over the last few years, but he’s more like an alien. He’s for sure a generational talent.鈥�

So much praise from the points leader to Victor as he looks to join the NBA league soon.

Regardless of Wembanyama鈥檚 pick, he has the utmost respect for all these legends and he aims at putting in work to match their levels in future. His height, skill, and gameplay place him in the same category as these great players and he will only look to cement his place as one of the best French Internationals.
