Victor’s Foundation To Becoming Unstoppable

Victor Wembanyama was born to play basketball and this is seen by how his trajectory has been for the last decade.

He started his professional career in 2019 with Nanterre 92 of the LNB Pro A. After two years, he changed teams and spent just one season with ASVEL, where he won the Pro A championship.

Wembanyama joined Metropolitans 92 in 2022 and took on a key position; his domination has been clear ever since.
Such a reputation for a 19-year-old who is the highest prospect since LeBron James back in 2003.

Wembanyama recently declared for the NBA and June 22, 2023, couldn’t get by sooner.
On Friday, April 21, 2023, he made an appearance on NBA Today on ESPN, where he told Malika Andrews that he is formally declaring for the 2023 NBA draft.

Wembanyama, who was visibly delighted, exclaimed, “Declaring for the draft, it’s something crazy I’m not realizing yet, I realized pretty young. I wanted to play in the NBA, but it becomes a reality every day. I’m so lucky to have this dream within the reach of my hand.”

The draft day is set for June 22, 2023, and Wembanyama and other prospects will be looking to find the perfect team where their NBA career will take off. Having already conquered France, Wembanyama will be looking to do the same in the USA.

In a piece with Marca, Wembanyama exclaimed his intention for the NBA. He said, “I would like to become one day a player no one can defend. A player able to adapt to all situations, versatile, both in defence and offence. I would like to be a basketball player who acts like a chess player, able to anticipate every move of my opponents and have the answer.”

He also revealed his main intention in his basketball career. He said,” I intend to be the no.1 pick in the 2023 Draft.”

That’s right, Wembanyama’s main intention is to be the number one pick in the 2023 NBA draft class.

Latest reports indicate that Victor is the frontrunner in being drafted first overall with the Houston Rockets, San Antonio Spurs and Detroit Pistons each holding the highest chance in drafting at a 14% probability of landing the first pick

Wembanyama has recently explained that whichever franchise he ends up at would be fine for him and that there are no bad teams in the NBA. Wembanyama made it clear that he would sign with any team that selected him in the draft during an otherwise earlier interview with ESPN.

Wemby told ESPN, “I am not worried, there is no bad organization. I never tell myself I don’t like to go there.”

The NBA draft lottery slated for May 16, 2023, will determine the order in which the teams will select their players and perhaps Victor’s intention of being the number one pick in the 2023 NBA Draft will come to fruition.

Wembanyama’s ability to adapt faster to changing conditions will make him a perfect fit for any team that will get to draft him. He will be looking to revolutionize his game and lead the team to glory by being one of the most fearsome players ever.

In his own words he looks to be able to adapt to all situations, versatile, both in defence and offence. We can get to see all these happen once he gets to the NBA but first, the priority is for the realization of his intention of getting to be the first overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft class.
