But during the winter months, can you still enjoy a few laps of freestyle? Sure! There are dozens of places to swim in Prague, whether they are indoor or outdoor. You even have your choice of a 50 meter or 33 meter-long pool to suit your lap and free swim needs. Plus, you can bring your kids to have fun, learn how to swim, and relax in the kiddie pool while you are socializing and exercising in the adult pool. Open every day from 6 am to 9:45 pm, the fee here is just 120 CZK per day – which averages to just $5.25 per day. Are you worried about saving money? Head here!

Located near the Divoka Sarka nature reserve, which is the best place for an all-day city break from the crowded and bustling city center of Prague and the Old Town Sure, you can also just walk along the nearby paths, hills, and running routes to get to the swimming lake. Bring a picnic lunch, enjoy your day in nature, and get some exercise while swimming a few laps in the cool lake. The best part about this lake is that you can check out the hygiene levels before you go – making this an excellent choice for those who are not too fond of public swimming holes!

Open every day of the week from 8 am to 9 pm, this is a great spot for an early morning pre-work swim or late-night evening dip. With a fee of just under $4 per day, you can enjoy the public changing rooms, refreshments, free parking, and wakeboarding for adventurous tourists!

If you want to swim outside, enjoy nature, sunbathe in your free time, and get away from the loud noises of the city center, the Hostivar Resroiver Bech is the ideal place to go for a half-day or full-day out of Prague. For just under $4 per day, the Reservoir Beach is open every day from 9 am to 8 pm and offers food and beverages, trampolines, and even a Wi-Fi hotspot for tourists who don’t have data on their phone plan! Plus, we recommend groups of friends traveling together to head here to meet other people their age, play outdoor games with locals, and work up an appetite on the nearby mountain-climbing wall and play area.

Okay, this doesn’t count as the typical lap pool for those who want to push their limits and work their shoulder muscles. BUT we love the Biotope Radotin Swimming Baths for hanging out in the cool water, bringing your children down the numerous slides, and hygienic filtration systems that ensure you are safe and clean during your day out in the water. For just $6 per day, you can head here any day for the week between 9 am and 8 pm.

Aquapalace Prague

If you head to Prague during the winter months, it might not be as cold as where you are from initially, but it will still not be warm enough to swim outside. After all, we’re not in the Southern Hemisphere, are we! However, that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a nice relaxing swim or a couple of sweaty pool laps. After all, you have to work off the Pilsner Urquell somehow, don’t you?

The Aquapalace is the perfect spot for tourists and locals to head to if they want to enjoy the hot sauna during a cold winter day, soak in the baths, enjoy the wellness treatments, and swim don one of the numerous lanes in the pools. Not to mention, your kids won’t hate coming here either! Unlike being bored at your office, at a museum, or at an outdoor pool that may be too deep for them, the kids can head to the artificial waves pool, wild river, or space bowl attraction.

Open every day of the week between 9 am and 10 pm, with the sauna open as a ‘late night’ attraction until 11 pm, you can pay for a full-day pass for approximately $33. Considering this is the average price of a gym one-day pass or a 45-minute cycling class in the United States, we think $33 is a great deal for the sauna, kids attractions, pools, and sauna!
