Prague is known for being one of the most visited European capitals — and for good reason! With cheap beer, great 0utdoro parks, cultural attractions, incredible historic architecture, and friendly locals, it is no wonder that Prague has become one of the biggest hotspots in the past few years.

You can visit the Old Town, take in the fantastic once-in-a-lifetime experience of healing the Astronomical Tower ring, and sit outside in the Old Town square with a Pilsner. Then, walk across Charles Bridge and take in the views of the Vltava River, walking across this infamous piece of architecture during sunset to get the best views in the city.

Next, head to the Castle Complex and walk down Golden Lane to see some of the cutest and quaintest houses in the entire city.

Once you feel like you have seen the “big hits” in Prague, you might want to start getting some shopping done! But what are you looking for? If you are tired of getting the same old tourist souvenirs, it could be time to visit some Czech designer shops and purchase luxury items to bring back home.

Let’s check out the best area of Prague, where you can do some luxury shopping to get memorable artwork, clothing items, or jewelry to stow away in your suitcase.

Known as “Paris Street” in English, this aptly-named street is one of the best areas for luxury designer shopping — just like you are in Paris! Located in Old Town right next to the Jewish Quarter, which we highly recommend visiting, Paris street is home to some of the most famous designers in the entire world. Have you ever heard of Versace?

If so, head here! You can shop for big-name designers whose items go for hundreds of thousands of euros, such as Bottega Veneta, Fendi, Salvatore Ferragamo, Dolce & Gabbana, Louis Vuitton, Hermes, or Dior. Grab a Dolce & Gabbana bag, pick up a pair of Louis Vuitton sandals, or purchase some sweet-smelling perfume from Dior for the ideal gift to bring back home.

Since demand here is lower than in other European cities, with lower prices than the likes of Paris, London, or Milan, thousands of European residents head to Prague to get designer items for a fraction of the cost.

Plus, your hubby can have fun shopping too! While you browse the handbags at Fendi, your husband or partner can look at some of the men’s watches, belts, and accessories at Boucheron, Rolex, and Cartier. And maybe while he’s there, he can pick up something for you too!

Not to mention, once you are done shopping, you can go to one of the many cafes lining Paris Street. After all, shopping is known for working up an appetite! Whether you are in the mood for a coffee or a strong cocktail, Paris Street has it all.

If you are shopping in the morning, we recommend taking a break and heading to Cafe Louvre to enjoy some of the best coffee in the city. Perfectly located right in Prague 1, this 100-year-old cafe has floor-to-ceiling windows, quintessential Czech dishes, and a luxurious atmosphere that perfectly compliments your luxury shopping experience. Try the ‘French’ breakfast menu for the best way to start the day, complete with freshly pressed orange juice, duck liver pate with cranberry, croissant, and French cheeses.

For lunch or a drink, we recommend heading to Barock for a strong cocktail and to people watching the locals in the area. Or, for those who like heights, head to the Intercontinental Hotel rooftop bar to get some of the best views in the city for a romantic sunset.
