Russia, the world’s largest transcontinental country and spanning eleven time zones, is richly endowed with natural resources.

Russia holds the world’s largest natural gas reserves, the second largest coal reserves, and the eighth largest oil reserves.

In 2017, the average Russian citizen was 1.8 times wealthier than in 2000. But despite strong growth, Russia’s per capita wealth is still only about a quarter more than in OECD countries.

The economy of Russia has gradually transformed from a planned economy into a market-oriented economy.

On average, Russia’s return on wealth the ratio of GDP to wealth has been around 7% for the 2000–2017 period.

Vladimir Sergeyevich Lisin is a Russian billionaire businessman. He is the chairman and majority shareholder of Novolipetsk, one of the four largest steel companies in Russia.

Lisin started as an electrical fitter in a coal mine in Siberia and then worked as a steelworker in Central Russia.

He is the President of the European Shooting Confederation and the Russia Shooting Union, he is also the vice president of the Russian Olympic Committee.

Novolipetsk is the 4th largest steel company in Russia. It is producing roughly 25% of Russia’s steel, the company is based in Lipetsk, Lipetsk has large iron ore deposits.

His net worth to $26 billion making him one of Russia’s richest men, Vladimir Sergeyevich Lisin lives with his wife Lyudmila Lisina in Aberuchill Castle.

2.Tatyana Vladimirovna Bakalchuk

Tatyana Vladimirovna Bakalchuk is a Russian entrepreneur, founder, and CEO of Wild berries, the largest Russian online retailer.

She is the country’s first self-made woman billionaire; she founded the business at age 28 in her Moscow apartment while on maternity leave.

Wild berries were founded in 2004 by Bakalchuk and her husband Vladislav Bakalchuk.

The company operates in 19 countries, including the US, Spain, Italy, the UK, Germany, and others.

The founder of Wildberries, Russia’s largest e-commerce retailer, has made it to the top of Forbes’ list of Russia’s richest women.

She is married to Vladislav, an IT technician, they have four children, and live in Moscow, In the early years, she resold clothes from German retailer Otto.

3.Pavel Valervevich Durov

Pavel Durov is the founder and owner of messaging app Telegram, which has more than 600 million users worldwide.

The tech entrepreneur cofounded the encrypted-messaging service Telegram with his brother Nikolai in 2013.

The brothers were born into a family of intellectuals, according to the Digital-Life-Design Conference website.

Pavel Durov is a Russian entrepreneur who has a net worth of $17 billion, Durov is not married, and has two children.

Durov was involved in a standoff with the police outside of his home in 2011 when the Russian government demanded he removes pages of opposition politicians.

4. Marina Sedykh

Marina Sedykh is an award-winning Russian millionaire, businesswoman, and CEO of Irkutsk Oil Company.

At the start of her career, Sedykh served as legal counsel in the Shkotovsky district of Primorsky Krai.

Irkutsk Oil Company was founded in 2000, Sedykh served as CEO of the company which is known as a pioneer in the development of one of the largest oil-bearing provinces in Russia.

In 2013 Marina Sedykh provided generous financial backing to Ray of Hope, a charitable organization in the Nizhneilimsk region that helps children who have disabilities.

In 2014, Marina Sedykh was given the RBC Prize in the category of: Of people. In 2016, she was nominated for the Preservation and Development of National Cultures and Folk Art Prize and was awarded the Patron of the Year award.

Marina Sedykh is married and has a daughter. She is an avid patron of the arts and is particularly fond of impressionism and surrealism.

In 2009, Mikhelson created the V-A-C Foundation, named for his daughter, Victoria. The foundation organizes and presents exhibitions by Russian and international contemporary artists.

Mikhelson began his career as a foreman for a construction company building a gas pipeline in Russia’s Tyumen region.

Mikhelson is married, with two children, and lives in Moscow, Leonid Mikhelson has a net worth of 20 billion dollars which makes him one of the richest people in Russia.

6.Natalia Valerievna Fileva

Natalia Valerievna Fileva was a Russian businesswoman and chairman of the board of directors of S7 Airlines.

In 2018, Forbes listed her as the 4th richest woman in Russia, with a worth estimated at US$600 million.

Fileva was married to Vladislav Filev, general director of S7 Airlines. They had three children.

Natalia Fileva, died when the plane crashed while landing at Egelsbach airport near Frankfurt.

7. Alexey Alexandrovich Mordashov

Alexey Alexandrovich Mordashov is a Russian billionaire businessman. He is the main shareholder and chairman of Severstal, Russia’s largest steel and mining company.

When Russia invaded Ukraine, Alexei Mordashov moved swiftly to transfer billions of dollars of stock holdings out of his name.

Nikita Mordashov is one of the most privileged children on the planet: his father, Alexei Mordashov controls steelmaker Severstal.

He is ranked the fourth richest person in Russia by Forbes magazine with an estimated fortune of $16.8 billion.

8. Natalya Kaspersky

Natalya Kaspersky is one of the most famous female entrepreneurs in Russia and one of the wealthiest women in the country.

Kasperskaya is known for being a highly influential person in the IT industry in Russia, she was 28, Kasperskaya changed her career focus to IT.

Since 2009, Natalya Kasperskaya has received numerous nominations, ratings, and awards, including Russian Business Leader of the Year 2012 by Horasis in Switzerland.

She is the president of the Info watch and the former CEO and co-founder of the world-renowned antivirus software security company Kaspersky Lab.

Natalya Kasperskaya was married to Eugene Kaspersky from 1986 to 1998 and the couple had two sons, Maxim and Ivan.

9. Andrey Grigoryevich Guryeva

Guryev is the founder and largest shareholder of Phosagro, Europe’s biggest manufacturer of phosphate fertilizers.

His son, Andrei A. Guriev, is PhosAgro’s CEO and was sanctioned by the EU on March 9, Guriev is a Russian senator who has a net worth of $5 billion.

Guriev owns the Witanhurst estate, which is the second largest in London after Buckingham Palace.

Guryev is married to Evgenia and they have two children, Guriev led a management buyout aiming to take over the control of Apatit.

10. Svetlana Bortsova

Svetlana Bortsova is a Russian millionaire with an estimated wealth of $250 million as of February 2020.

Bortsova has been listed in Forbes as one of the wealthiest women in Russia several times over.

After Bortsova’s husband died, she inherited a majority stake in his companies and so became a millionaire.
