Jurong Bird Park is an aviary and tourist attraction in Jurong, Singapore. The park covers an area of 49 acres.

The park was opened on 3 January 1971. It was built for$3.5 million. The idea of this beautiful aviary was conceived by the late Dr Goh Keng Swee, then Minister for Finance, in 1968.

Jurong Bird park is now a world-famous bird zoo. A home to specimens of magnificent bird life from around the world.

Over 9,000 birds representing more than 600 species are displayed in the park. Which 29 are threatened species.

The African Penguins live in an outdoor pool that is meant to recreate a South African coastline. Which has artificially created waves on the lagoon.

Visitors also enjoy the Portuguese galleon facade. It has a climate-controlled enclosure kept at 10-15°C. Here you will find Sub- Antarctic Penguins such as king penguins, gentoo penguins, Humboldt penguins, and a northern rockhopper penguin.

The waterfall Aviary towers have a height of 35 meters. It houses one of the world’s tallest man-made waterfalls. This waterfall is indoor.

After enjoying your lunch with Parrots, you can cross the suspended bridge for a panoramic view of the surrounding landscape. At the Hut, guests find more reticent birds in action. It houses a large variety of birds including grey crowned cranes, roseate spoonbills and several passerines.

Take your kids to this amazing area where they will discover the Fossils of descendants of Dinosaurs. Moreover, there is a large ground-dwelling bird such as the Saddle-billed stork, southern cassowary, sarus crane, and northern cassowary.

Guests also get to discover Four huts containing interactive displays. These are elephant bird egg replicas and a cassowary’s casque. Furthermore, the dig site is for kids to excavate dinosaur fossils.
