1. Yann Sommer

Yann Sommer born on 17 December 1988 is a Swiss professional footballer who everyone would love to watch during the 2022 FIFA World Cup. He plays as a goalkeeper for Bundesliga club Borussia M枚nchengladbach and the Switzerland national team.

Sommer made his debut for the Switzerland national team in 2012. He represented the nation at the FIFA World Cup in 2014 and 2018, and the UEFA European Championship in 2016 and 2020.

2. Kevin Mbabu

Melingo Kevin Mbabu was born on 19 April 1995. He is part of the squad of Switzerland that is ready to fight for the 20222 FIFA World Cup.  Mbabu is a Swiss professional footballer who plays as a defender for Premier League club Fulham and the Switzerland national team.

In May 2018, Mbabu was named in Switzerland’s preliminary squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. However, he was cut from the squad after Switzerland’s preliminary squad was cut to 26.

He made his debut on 8 September 2018, in the starting lineup for the 2018鈥19 UEFA Nations League match against Iceland. In May 2019, he played in the 2019 UEFA Nations League Finals, where his team finished 4th. He is gonna play for Switzerland. So, let’s wait and see his performance!

3. Silvan Widmer

Silvan Dominic Widmer was born on 5 March 1993. He is a Swiss professional footballer who plays as a right-back for Bundesliga club Mainz 05 and the Switzerland national team. Widmer was a Switzerland youth international having played both at under-19 and under-21 levels.

He made his debut for the senior national squad on 12 October 2014 in a UEFA Euro 2016 qualifying Group E game against San Marino as a 59th-minute substitute for Stephan Lichtsteiner.

Widmer scored his first international goal for Switzerland on 6 September 2020, in a 1鈥1 UEFA Nations League draw against Germany. In 2021 he was called up to the national team for the 2020 UEFA European Championship.

4. Nico Elvedi

Nico Elvedi was born on 30 September 1996. He is a Swiss professional footballer who plays as a center-back for Bundesliga club Borussia M枚nchengladbach and the Switzerland national team.

He was included in the Switzerland national football team’s 23-man squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. In May 2019, he played in the 2019 UEFA Nations League Finals. In 2021 he was called up to the national team for the 2020 UEFA European Championship.

5. Ricardo Rodriguez

Ricardo Ivan Rodriguez Araya was born on 25 August 1992. The professional footballer who plays as a left-back for Serie A club Torino and the Switzerland national team. Rodriguez has earned caps at every level of the Swiss national team setup, winning the FIFA U17 World Cup in 2009.

Since 2011 Rodriguez has earned 100 caps for the country. He was part of the Swiss team at the 2012 Olympics, and also represented the senior side at the FIFA World Cup in 2014 and 2018, and the UEFA European Championship in 2016 and 2020. He will be part of the squad in the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

6. Granit Xhaka

Granit Xhaka born on 27 September 1992 is a Swiss professional footballer, who plays as a midfielder for Premier League club Arsenal and captains the Switzerland national team. Xhaka was part of the Swiss team that won the 2009 FIFA U-17 World Cup.

He made his senior debut in 2011 and has won over 100 caps, representing the nation at the FIFA World Cup in 2014 and 2018, and the UEFA European Championship in 2016 and 2020. He is leading the national team to the great awaited battle of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

7. Dan Ndoye

Dan Ndoye who was born on 25 October 2000 is a Swiss professional footballer. He plays as a center-forward for the Swiss Super League club, Basel. Ndoye was called up to the Switzerland National team and is expected to make his national debut coming to the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament

8. Renato Steffen

Renato Steffen was born on 3 November 199. He is a Swiss professional footballer who plays for Lugano and the Switzerland national team. He is a left-footed winger. Steffen made his first appearance for Switzerland on 9 October 2015, in a Euro 2016 qualifier against San Marino. He was subbed on in the 78th minute of a 7鈥0 victory.

In May 2019, he Steffen played in the 2019 UEFA Nations League Finals, where his team finished fourth. He then started for Switzerland against Germany in a 2020鈥21 UEFA Nations League match. On 12 October 2021, Steffen scored his first international goal for Switzerland against Lithuania.

9. Fabian Schar

Fabian Lukas Sch盲r was born on 20 December 1991. The professional footballer who currently plays as a center-back for Premier League club Newcastle United and the Switzerland national team.

After playing at the 2012 Olympics, he made his senior debut for Switzerland in 2013. Sch盲r represented the nation at the 2014 and 2018 FIFA World Cup, and UEFA Euro 2016 and 2020. He is in Switzerland’s squad for the upcoming tournament on November 2022.

10. Denis Zakaria

Denis Lemi Zakaria Lako Lado was born on 20 November 1996. The professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Premier League club Chelsea, on loan from Juventus, and the Switzerland national team.

Zakaria made his debut for the senior Switzerland national team in a friendly 2鈥1 loss to Belgium on 28 May 2016. He was part of the squad for the 2016 European Championships. Zakaria was included in the 23-man squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

In May 2019, Zakaria played in the 2019 UEFA Nations League Finals, where his team finished fourth. He was named in the 26-man Swiss squad for the UEFA Euro 2020.
