The city of Paris is famous for two things: its beautiful landmarks and its great French cuisine restaurants. So why not combine both during your visit to Paris? Tasting delicious french food in a Parisian restaurant is already really nice, but doing it while you enjoy the sights of the capital from a rooftop or a terrace is truly one of the greatest experiences you could have during your stay. Here is a selection of the best restaurants with a view in Paris, according to a local.

The Jules Verne, on the 2nd floor of the Eiffel Tower

No list of the best restaurants with a view in Paris would be complete without the Jules Verne: eating on the second floor of the Eiffel Tower, can you imagine that? Surrounded by the metalwork of the building, you’ll be able admire the whole of the city through the glass windows of the restaurants. Be careful however, the ‘tenue correcte exigée‘ (acceptable outfit required) rule is applied here, meaning no shorts or tourist outfits inside the restaurants, so be sure to change before going to this restaurant!

Le Zyriab, on the rooftop of the Institut du Monde Arabe (9th floor)

The next one in our list of the best restaurants with a view in Paris is a bit special: Le Zyriab, on the nineth floor of the Arab World Institute (Institut du Monde Arabe) doesn’t serve typical French cuisine, but Lebanese food. However, its terrace is a wonderful place to admire Notre Dame and the Eiffel Tower in the summer, and prices are relatively affordable, too.

With its proximity to the Eiffel Tower, this one surely deserves to be named one of the best restaurants with a view in Paris. It is also situated on the rooftop of a museum which is actually one of my favorites: its architecture in itself is striking, with great gardens where you can escape from the busy atmosphere of the city life; and the museum, focusing on ancient civilizations from all continents, is fascinating.

¶Ùé±ô¾±-³¦¾±±ð³Ü³æ, on top of the Printemps department store

A cheaper alternative to have dinner in front of a beautiful view in Paris would be the ¶Ùé±ô¾±-³¦¾±±ð³Ü³æ restaurant, on top of the Printemps department store. The important thing here is the 360° view you will get all over Paris; the food, although still nice, is more common than in other places, with a self-service concept. After a tiring shopping spree, take the elevator to the top floor and enjoy one of the greatest sights over the city!

However, note that ¶Ùé±ô¾±-³¦¾±±ð³Ü³æ is currently closed for renovations. I’m not sure when it is going to reopen.

Le Georges, on the rooftop of the Centre Georges Pompidou (6th floor)

On top of the Paris’ most popular museum of Modern Art, Le Georges is surely one of the best restaurants with a view in Paris. If you feel like it, you can come early and enjoy the impressive collections of the museum, and head to the rooftop when the evening comes. With its iconic red roses at the center of every table, you’ll be sure to spend a scenic and also romantic dinner in front of one of the best views over Paris.
