Things to do in Prague in July

Praguers hate direct proportions – the higher the temperature, the lower number of pieces of clothes! And that’s one of the reasons to love Prague! Most beautiful girls and boys in central Europe sporadically dressed, rocking Prague streets. Who would say no to that? But besides people-watching, there is plenty of other things to do in Prague in July!

³Õ²âÅ¡±ð³ó°ù²¹»å is the other castle of Prague. You can see its black towers from many places around the city. Although it is not as famous as Prague Castle, which ends up being an advantage since it is not as close from the city centre.

This castle is bounded by walls. Inside these walls, you will find lots of green areas, parks and gardens that will be perfect for a summer walk! If you’re lucky, you might even visit the castle on the day the saxophone quintet plays for the visitors.

Plus, since it is a considerably open and high place, it is very windy. So, it is the perfect place to visit during the month of July on warm days! Not that you shouldn’t visit it during cooler seasons, but summer is indeed the perfect time to visit it, because the wind comes from all directions!

While in ³Õ²âÅ¡±ð³ó°ù²¹»å, don’t forget to visit the cemetery. Even if you don’t particularly enjoy visiting this kind of place, it is definitely worth it! Many Czech artists are buried there, like Alfons Mucha and Jan Neruda.

In the Petrin Park, you will find its tower which has about 300 steps and an elevator! Don’t hesitate to go up and enjoy an amazing view over the city. You will be able to see most of the city from up there!

While in Petrin, take the time to walk the area, its beautiful gardens and enjoy the tranquility! It is not an excessively touristy place of the city, you will be able to enjoy a quiet moment on a summer day!

Visit the Jewish neighborhood

thingstodoinpragueinjuly12

While in Prague during the month of July, explore Josefov, which is the Jewish neighborhood of the city. It is an unmissable walk for those of you that want to learn a little more about the history of Prague Jews. In this area, you will find many synagogues and a Jewish cemetery which is thought to be the oldest one in the world!

Cross the tiniest street of the world

thingstodoinpragueinjuly13

In Prague, there is one street that is so narrow, the narrowest ever, that only one person can cross at a time! You will have to obey the signal, and only cross when the green figures shows.

The history of this street is very interesting. It was built during the sixteenth century as a Fire Corridor when the city had to face a fire that damaged more than sixty houses! This kind of corridors were built to serve as a direct access to the Vltava river, therefore to the water!

On top of all above listed things to do in Prague in July, you can support your soccer teams in almost every pub in Prague! So let’s do it! And don’t forget to pack your sun cream, this trip is going to be hot! I hope you’ve enjoyed my suggestions of some of the best things to do in Prague in July.
