Top 10 Street Foods At Camden Market

1. The Patate

A burger from The Patate

Experience the rich, comforting taste of France in the middle of Camden Market. Consistently rated among the best street food in London, The Patate鈥檚 ethos is simple: delicious beef bourguignon, served in a brioche bun.

The mouth-watering stew is cooked the traditional French Bourgogne way, for two hours with spices and wine. It is then adapted to the street food style into a grilled patty, by a skilled cook in front of your very eyes, for the perfect French lunch with minimal mess.

You won鈥檛 suffer from decision fatigue here – the pared-back menu offers just the one type of burger, but also provides a variety of cheeses to drench your bun or french fries in, including Camembert, raclette, or good old fashioned cheddar.

If you find yourself wanting more, as many do, you can also find The Patate鈥檚 signature van at a variety of popular London locations, including West India Quay and King鈥檚 Cross.

A newer addition to Camden Market鈥檚 North Yard, Yolk Breaker was inspired by the founders鈥 travels to the West Coast of America, whose hip residents have embraced egg buns as a trendy and delicious new breakfast option.

5. Lords of Poke

Although London鈥檚 low temperatures and near constant cover of clouds and rain may serve to make it seem about as far away from the balmy shores of Hawaii as possible, you can still get a little Hawaiian sunshine in your day by visiting Lords of Pok茅.

This super cool stall offers a California-inspired take on the Hawaiian classic with their build-your-own pok茅 bowls. First, choose your base from a variety of rice or vegetables. Then, you can add your pok茅 – think tuna, prawns or salmon, with tofu as a vegetarian option.

6. The Cheese Wheel

The pasta dishes offered by The Cheese Wheel have become something of an online sensation, and for good reason. The fresh strands of tagliatelle are made and hand-rolled every day, then tailored specifically to you with a choice of sauces.

To complete the experience, you can also choose from a range of authentic toppings, such as sun-dried tomatoes and wild mushrooms.

The stall came about after its founders realised there was a gap in the market for fresh pasta as a street food, which perfectly sums up The Cheese Wheel鈥檚 wholesome (but not at all cheesy) manifesto. Make sure to try their signature dish, which is the classic Fettuccine Alfredo.

It鈥檚 perhaps not the best choice for anyone suffering from lactose intolerance, but cheese lovers and discerning foodies alike are sure to be impressed. Your Instagram followers will be drooling over every video of this dinner show!
