Idris Alba is an English actor born on the 6^th of September 1972 in Hackney, London, England. He is mostly referred to by his stage name, Idris Elba while his full birth name is Idrissa Akuna Elba. He is the only child of Winston and Eve. His father worked at Ford Dagenham and is from Sierra Leone while his mother is from Ghana. He was interested in acting at a very young age while attending school in Canning Town.  However, he dropped out of school and later gained entry into the National Youth Music Theatre.

He worked night shifts at Ford Dagenham and tire-fitting to support himself in the acting roles. He also worked in nightclubs at the age of nineteen which earned him the nickname DJ Big Driis. Idris has not only become successful in his acting carrier but also has grown exceptionally in the music industry. His talent and passion for music were also noticed at an early age. He was still a child when he began to accompany his uncle at a wedding and work as a DJ.

He was interested in music and went on to work as DJ in events and in 1990 he moved to New York City to further his interests. He together with his friends, formed a group where he managed to start his DJ company. While still working on his acting career he always made time for music. He managed to launch his record label in 2018.

2. He is a Huge Fan of Arsenal Football Club

Idris has been a huge supporter of Arsenal Football Club since 15 years old. He has always been vocal about his support for the club to which he is devoted. Idris is currently married to his third wife after divorcing his two wives. He was married to Kim Norgaard from June 1999 to 2003. They both had a child whom they named Isan Elba. He later remarried on the 9^th of April 2006 and the marriage lasted for Four months. They divorced on the 11^th of August 2006. He is currently married to his third wife, Sabrina Dhowre Elba since the 26^th of April 2019.

5. He Became a Father for the Second Time at the age of 41

Despite Idris being in several relationships, he became a father for the second time at the age of forty-one. He had his second born with one of his girlfriends in 2014. He became a father to Winston Elba on the 17^th of April 2014 with his girlfriend Naiyana Garth.

Idris was named among the top hundred most influential people in TIME Magazine in 2016. This is an annual list that highlights the world’s most influential people.  He gained a lot of fame from his outstanding works in the music and acting industry.
