1. Lewis Capaldi

Lewis Marc Capaldi is a Scottish singer and songwriter born in 1996 in Glasgow, Scotland. His music career started when he was four, learned how to play guitar at the age of 9, and started writing songs and playing gigs by sneaking into pubs with the help of his eldest brother.

His success began at 18, when Ryan Walter, his manager discovered him through a record he had posted on his SoundCloud account. Lewis released his first single Bruises, in 2017, and his music career picked at that time.

In 2007, Amy released her debut album This Is the Life which sold three million copies worldwide. The album reached charting at number one in six countries, reaching the top 10 in other 11 countries. Bon Scott was born in 1946 in Scotland but raised in Australia. His vocals were inspired by his idol, Little Richard, and in 1964 he started his first band, The Spektors, as a drummer and occasional lead singer.

He participated in bands including Fraternity, Valentines and was the lead vocalist and lyricist of the hard rock band AC/DC from 1974 until his death. After his death, AC/DC released a best-selling album as an attribute to him.

Even though he was buried in Australia, commemorations of his life have been held in Scotland. In 2003, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

4. Donovan

Donovan Phillips Leitch is a Scottish musician, producer and songwriter born in 1946 in Maryhill, Glasgow. He learned guitar at 14 and played in local clubs before his music picked up. Donovan’s musical style blends folk, pop, calypso, jazz, and psychedelic rock elements.

He reached fame in 1965 with live performances on the pop TV series Ready Steady Go! in the 1960s, he enjoyed popularity and great success. Donovan has released 26 studio albums and has charted in multiple countries. In 2012, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and also, in 2014, into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

Scott was a Scottish singer, songwriter, guitarist, founding member, and primary songwriter of the indie rock band Frightened Rabbit. He recorded five studio albums at the band and created the artwork for each release.

He was a member of the musical collective The Fruit Tree Foundation and released one solo album under the moniker Owl John. Scott was found dead by Scottish police after going missing for two days.

11. Elizabeth Fraser

17. Bert Jansch

Herbert Jansch was a Scottish folk musician. In the 1960s, he was a leading musician in the British folk revival, touring folk clubs, collaborating with other musicians and recording several solo albums.

He was a co-founder of the band Pentangle, which broke up in 1972 in the 1980s, he joined reformed pentangle until 1995, and from then, he worked as a solo artist until his death. Bert recorded more than 28 albums and toured widely from the 1960s to the 21st century.

Annie Lennox is a Scottish singer and songwriter. She began her music career as part of the new wave band the Tourist enjoying international success in the 1980s with fellow musician Dave Stewart as Eurythmics.
