In 2015, it was awarded the Preservation awards by the Victorian Society in America and the Savannah Historic Preservation Board. It was one of the largest restoration projects in a historic property in the US.

After the successful renovation, the building was sold to Savannah College of Arts and Design in 2018. This development led to the foreclosure of the Law school.
