3. Boulder creek golf club

Boulder Creek is built on 200 acres of spectacular land that was the end result of the ice age. Over 100 feet of elevation changes. The unique contour of the property makes it one of the most beautiful golf courses in, Ohio. Each hole was painstakingly built to the natural topography utilizing the natural features of the property to their fullest advantage. Without a doubt, this is one of Northeast Ohio’s premier courses to play.

4. The Quarry golf club

The Quarry is located just minutes from Downtown Canton. It is a unique target-style golf course. The golf club is built on an old quarry dating back to the 1800s. The clubhouse is strategically located on the tip of a huge quarry lake which offers dramatic views of the finishing holes.

The terrain consists of natural waste areas, 100-foot-plus cliffs, streams, and deep water lakes. These unforgettable land features wind through and around each hole, giving them their own unique identity.

The course features include the bent grass tees, greens, and fairways framed by rock outcroppings and native grasses. Several tee shots are visually intimidating, but do not be deceived – the landing areas are much more generous than they appear. Firestone country club is a private golf club in the United States. It is located in Akron Ohio. The country club was a regular stop on the PGA tour and has also hosted the PGA Championship three times.

6. Sleepy Hollow Golf course

The course was designed by Stanley Thompson. He is a member of the Royal Canadian Golf Hall of Fame. It was opened in 1924 as a private country club on land leased from Cleveland Metroparks. Later was opened to public play in 1963.

The course is set up as a classic “out and in” layout. The early holes on both nines play downhill and down the prevailing wind, therefore seeming shorter than the yardage indicates. The incoming holes play uphill and into the wind making them play surprisingly long.

Sleepy Hollow has been the site for many amateur and professional events including qualifying events for USGA championships and every other year hosting the Greater Cleveland Amateur Championship.

7. Eaglesticks Golf club

The Eaglesticks golf club was built on 150 acres of hilly farmland near Zanesville, Ohio. The course has rolling fairways, undulating greens, and constant elevation changes. It has numerous gorgeous waterfalls and pristine woodlands of oak, maple, ash, locust, walnut, and cherry trees that add to its intrinsic beauty.

Dr. Michael Hurdzan created the design that includes plush, bentgrass fairways and greens that are protected by a total of 90 sand bunkers. He is one of the most renowned architects in Ohio.

The Eaglesticks golf club has multiple teeing areas and larger putting greens ensuring that the course is playable for all. It also has Challenging and compact at 6,500 yards from the back tees. EagleSticks is a course that clearly favors accuracy over power.
