It opened on March 14, 1992, in the La Cantera master-planned development and district as a destination musical show park with its focus on the musical culture of the state of Texas. The park was purchased by Time Warner in 1995, and branded as a Six Flags Park for the 1996 season.

The park’s Landmark is the Scream drop tower ride which stands 205 feet tall and can be seen from all around the park as well as outside the property. It is currently divided into five themed areas along with an adjacent water park, White Water Bay.

2. Morgan’s Wonderland

The features more than 25 elements and attractions including rides, playgrounds, gardens, an 8-acre (3.2 ha) catch-and-release fishing lake, 18,000 sq ft (1,700 m2) special-event center, 575-seat amphitheater, picnic area and rest areas throughout the park. The park was developed by Gordon Hartman and was inspired by his daughter, Morgan, who deals with cognitive and physical challenges.

Morgan’s Wonderland is the first theme park of its kind in the world, as it is completely wheelchair accessible.

The Kemah Boardwalk is a 60-acre Texas Gulf Coast theme park in Kemah, Texas. It is built entirely along the shores of Galveston Bay and Clear Lake, and is considered among the premier boardwalks in the United States.

The park is home to more than 10 restaurants, a collection of rides, midway games, attractions, a boutique hotel, a charter yacht, a 400-slip marina and multiple shops. There is no charge to walk around on the boardwalk.

Enjoy one of the most compact roller coasters in the world, the Boardwalk Bullet, a high-speed wooden roller coaster measuring 96-foot-tall, 3,236-foot-long built on a 1-acre footprint.

Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier is a pleasure pier in Galveston, Texas, United States. The original park operated between 1943 until 1961 when it was destroyed by Hurricane Carla. On May 25, 2012, the new park was opened and is located where the original ark stood.  

The park has 1 roller coaster, 15 rides, carnival games and souvenir shops. It was also the site of the USS Flagship Hotel, an over-the-water hotel built in 1965 that was demolished after Hurricane Ike in 2008.
