America is powerful and many people are interested in its affairs making its journalist household names the world over.

Here are 10 of the most famous American journalists.

A survey carried out by The Hollywood Reporter and Morning Consult on more than 2,000 Americans found out that Lester Holt of NBC News is the most trusted in the country.

Lester Holt is an award-winning journalist and anchor of NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt, the network鈥檚 flagship broadcast.

He also leads NBC News鈥� special reports, breaking news and primetime political coverage.

He has reported from all continents on different issues such as presidential summits, Olympics etc.

Holt moderated the first presidential debate of 2016, which was the most-watched debate in American history.

His interview with President Trump in May 2017 stands as the most consequential interview of the Trump presidency.

2.    Anderson Cooper

Anderson Cooper is a journalist, TV personality and author better known for his exploits at CNN.

Cooper has anchored major breaking news stories, notable being the network’s overnight coverage of the war in Iraq.

He moderated a Democratic presidential candidate鈥檚 forum the network jointly sponsored with Rock the Vote.

Before joining CNN, he was an ABC News correspondent and host of the network’s reality program, The Mole.

Cooper joined ABC from Channel One News, where he served as a reporter and producer.

Jenn Brown is an award-winning TV personality and sports broadcaster.

She is a regular feature on the sidelines of college football and baseball games for ESPN and the first female correspondent for Inside the NFL. She also hosts MMA for Spike TV.

Jenn was a collegiate athlete, therefore, understands the intricacies of professional sports.

6.      Dan Rather

Dan Rather is an American journalist and a news anchor. Rather began his career in Texas, becoming shooting to fame after his reporting saved thousands of lives during Hurricane Carla in September 1961.

Rather spontaneously created the first radar weather report by overlaying a transparent map over a radar image of Hurricane Carla.

 He always landed the hottest interviews with the world鈥檚 most important figures, from the famous to the infamous.

7.      Wolf  Blitzer

Wolf Blitzer is an American journalist, television news anchor, and author who has been with CNN  since 1990.

He was the host of The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer until 2021.

He joined CNN as a military affairs correspondent at the Pentagon in 1990, Blitzer covered the White House until he became the network鈥檚 lead political anchor.

Wolf Blitzer has reported from many of the world hotspots and has interviewed many heads of state.

8.   Norah O’Donnell

Norah Morahan O’Donnell is an American television journalist who is the anchor of the CBS Evening News.

She is also a correspondent for 60 Minutes program. She is the former co-anchor of CBS This Morning, Chief White House Correspondent for CBS News, and a substitute host for CBS’s Sunday morning show Face the Nation.

O’Donnell jumped from one of three hosts of “CBS This Morning” to the sole anchor of the “CBS Evening News” becoming the second woman on the network to do so. she started from the print media working her way up.

10. Jullie Banderas

Julie Banderas is an American television news anchor for the Fox News Channel, based in New York City.

Banderas formerly hosted Fox Report Weekend before moving to a weekday anchor role.

She is the primary weekday fill-in anchor.  Jullie Banderas began her career at WLVI-TV in Boston.
