H.E Kamala Harris, the first female vice president of the United States is also the first Asian American to hold the position. Born on October 20th, 1964, Kamala Harris’s heritage is a blend of Indian and Jamaican roots.

Her mother, Shyamala Gopalan Harris, was an Indian immigrant, while her father, Donald J. Harris, is of Jamaican heritage. Before becoming the American VP, Harris was the Attorney General of California from 2011 to 2017 and the United States Senator from California from 2017 to 2021.

2. Tiger Woods

Eldrick Tont “Tiger” Woods is a legend in the world of professional golf. Woods is of mixed heritage, with his father, Earl Woods, being African American, and his mother, Kultida Woods, of Thai and Chinese descent.

He is a world beater, having won numerous awards in his industrious career. This includes 15 major championships, making him one of the most accomplished golfers in history. Woods held the position of World No. 1 for a record-breaking 683 weeks throughout his career.

3. Indra Nooyi

Business executive Indra Nooyi, also known as Indra Krishnamurthy, is an Indian American. Nooyi was born on October 28, 1955, in Chennai, India but later attained U.S. citizenship through naturalization.

She served as Pepsi’s chairman and CEO between 2006 and 2018. Nooyi has also worked as a strategy consultant at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and as a product manager at Johnson & Johnson.

4. Satya Nadella

Born on 19th August 1967, Satya Narayana Nadella is yet another business executive on the list. He was born in Andhra Pradesh state, India to a Hindu family.

He moved to the USA in 1988 to study for a master鈥檚 degree in Computer Science. Satya joined Microsoft in 1992, where he held different positions before being announced as the CEO in 2014.

He is the third CEO of Microsoft the previous ones being Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer.

5. Michelle Wie

7. Jeremy Lin

Michelle Wingshan Kwan is a former figure skater and current American Ambassador to Belize. She was born on 7th July 1980 to Chinese parents Danny and Estella Kwan in California.

Michelle is known for her exceptional achievements as a professional figure skater. During her industrious career, she won nine national championships, five world titles, and two Olympic medals (silver in 1998, and bronze in 2002) in figure skating.

Kumail Ali Nanjiani, born on February 21st, 1978, is a Pakistani-American comedian, actor, and screenwriter.

His portrayal of Dinesh in the popular HBO series “Silicon Valley”  was his breakthrough role. He then co-wrote the romantic comedy film “The Big Sick (2017)” with his wife Emily V. Gordon.

For the latter, he was nominated for the Academy Award for ‘Best Original Screenplay.’ Other movies in which Nanjiani has starred include Stuber, Men in Black: International, and Marvel’s Eternals.

Ken Leung is an Asian American film and tv star revered in the industry. He was born on January 21st, 1970 in New York City to Chinese immigrant parents.

Leung has had a very industrious career making his debut in Rush Hour (1998) as henchman Sang opposite bigwigs Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker.

She appeared in a number of well-known films and television shows, such as X2: X-Men United, The Scorpion King, and “Phineas and Ferb.” She was Miss Teen USA in 1985 and Miss Hawaii USA in 1993 in the modeling world.
