Demi Lovato Pronouns: Everything You Need to Know About Her Sexuality

Demetria 鈥淒emi鈥� Devonne Lovato has openly declared her pronouns and sexual orientation without fear. When interviewed in May 2021, Demi Lovato shared that she identifies herself as a non-binary. She says that she prefers to be referred to by the pronouns they or them rather than she or her. She, therefore, expresses the desire for both men and women.

Previously, Demi Lovato had been identified as a straight woman. She had been in romantic relationships with the opposite gender. For instance, Demi Lovato was in a relationship with Max Ehrich until September 2020. The two lovebirds had gone to the extent of getting engaged but that did not stop Demi when she knew what was better for her. She dissolved the engagement. 鈥淚 met someone and I got into this straight relationship, and that was great, but that led me to ignore all parts of myself that I didn鈥檛 think was digestible for my partner at the time, who ended up becoming my fianc茅鈥欌�� she said.

Lovato has a history of being open-minded as she advocated for the rights of members of the LGBTQ+ community. That was before she announced that she would change her pronouns to they/them. She grew up in Texas in a Christian family. However, she says that she was always uncomfortable and ashamed of her sexuality. She had an attraction to women but would often hide it. She right then realized that she had an attraction to women.

While on the 鈥淛oe Rogan Experience鈥� podcast, Demi Lovato spoke openly letting everyone know that indeed she is pansexual. 鈥淚鈥檓 fluid now, and a part of the reason why am so fluid is because I was, like, super closeted off,鈥� she said on the podcast. She told Rogan that she is proud of the LGBTQIAP+ community and would protect her friends at all costs. Demi Lovato has gone on to hook up with a woman and said that it is a lot better than dating a man. She opened up to her parents in 2017 that she is a queer woman and has also released songs that suggest the same.
