Critics consider her to be one of the best female rappers of all time.

9. M.I.A

Remy Ma, another highly successful female rapper who won two BET Awards for Best Female Hip-Hop Artist in 2000, was introduced to the rap scene by Big Pun. Before embarking on her solo career in 2006, she made a name for herself as a member of Fat Joe’s hip-hop group “Terror Squad.”

Her best-selling singles include “Ante Up (Remix),” “Lean Back,” “Conceited,” and “Up.” Remy Ma is well-known not only for her musical career but also for her legal problems and controversies with other female rappers such as Foxy Brown and Nicki Minaj.
