In popular culture, rats have a bad reputation. However, in this article, I will explore all the fictional rats that have captured our imaginations. Their complex and even heroic plots demonstrate the courage and self-sacrifice of rats. Several books and movies have featured rats as central characters. These rats have been shaped to be friendly pet rats, evil lab rats, rat sensei, and even a mystical rat king in animation films and children’s books.

Even though in real life rats are seen as rodents and even as creepy pests. Several authors have turned them into unforgettable characters and have painted them as loveable pets who have unique characteristics.
