This legend died on 25th June 2009 in Holmby Hills, Los Angeles, California, due to cardiac arrest. He was one of the most significant cultural figures of the 20th century.

Robert Nesta Marley was a Jamaican singer, songwriter, and musician who was born on 6th February 1945 in Nine Mile, Jamaica. He was one of the pioneers of reggae music and a Rastafari icon. He is remembered for his support for the legalization of marijuana and advocating for Pan-Africanism.

Bob Marley had distinctive vocals and a unique songwriting style. ‘Redemption Song’, ‘Buffalo Soldier’, and ‘No Woman, No Cry’ are some of his songs.

Legend began playing the piano quite early in life and when in college, Lauryn Hill hired this award-winning musician to play the piano for her song “Everything Is Everything”. He is also an actor.

Legend has won many awards over the years and he was the first black man and second youngest person to win all four of the major American entertainment awards, that is the Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony (EGOT).
