Top 10 Most Influential Girl Scouts of All Time

Who runs the world? Girls! Over the years, women have slowly proved capable of taking care of themselves in a male-dominated world. When the First and Second World Wars took place, women marched into factories and took the jobs that were categorized as “only for men” With this environment, girls were able to look up to their mothers for being more than just stay-at-home wives. In 1912, Juliette Gordon Low started a girls scout in Savannah, Georgia. At the time, scouts were mainly for boys training to become young men in society.

As a woman in modern-day society, I find it amusing how scouting has included girls throughout the years. Even in countries that seem to be stuck in the olden days, young girls are taught how to earn their survival badges alongside their opposite-gender friends, and classmates. Girls Scouts are being introduced into media such as films, television shows, and animated series. Some productions dedicate an entire episode or plot to the importance of Girld Socuts on children.

Through this article, I will celebrate all the girls and young women who are alums. It should be noted that celebrities such as Michelle Obama, Taylor Swift, and Venus Williams were part of a Girls Scout troop. In this article, I will explore 10 of the Most Influential Girl Scouts of All Time.
