Top 15 Most Popular Songs by Korn

If you are not a metalhead or at least a rock and roll fan, you may not have heard of this band before. Who are they exactly? They are an American metal band from California, formed back in 1993. Thus they鈥檝e been in the game for quite a long time and they never disappoint, to be honest. Let鈥檚 have a look at some of their most popular songs.

1. Freak on a leash- Release Year: 1998

.

Released in 1998, this is a typical metal rock and roll song that will for sure impress you if you are into that kind of music. I especially love its music video which basically tells a story and thus makes it easy to follow. The musical arrangements are also quite good and well done.

2. Falling Away from Me- Release Year: 1999

.

This is another Korn song that is simply beautiful. You are absolutely sold from the moment that solo guitar starts just before the drums and bass. What鈥檚 even more fascinating is how the song is pretty deep and entertaining at the same time. They address mental health in this song in the most entertaining way I鈥檝e ever seen.

3. Coming Undone- Release Year: 2006

.

Released in 2006, this is another Korn that is pretty amazing. What I love about this song is how they have been able to resonate with people. Listening to this song definitely makes you feel understood as long as you have ever been in a dark place. Pretty impressive for any artist who can do that.

4. Blind- Release Year: 1994

.

Typically a metal kind of rock, even just from the way they dressed and their hairstyles, this masterpiece released in 1994 took the rock n roll club by storm. It is a song of few words but those few words cut really deep. Korn addressed some pretty dark things with their songs, and in my book, that makes them so unique and lovable.

5. Got the Life- Release Year: 1998

.

Whenever this song begins, it just reminds me of some badass vampire movie. I don鈥檛 know why. Anyway, released in 1998, the song topped the billboard charts for quite a while and every metal head shop you walk into had this song as one of their anthems.

6. Thoughtless- Release Year: 2002

.

The best part about this song is the use of dark humour to try and pass across its message. I mean, if you鈥檙e not really into dark humour, then of course the song may really be your cup of tea. In fact, if you鈥檙e not a metalhead overall, this is not for you. Moreover, the song has a very powerful message. Talking about refusing to be drowned by your thoughtless schemes. It encourages you to keep your head above the water and refusing to listen to the voices telling you you are not good enough. See?! Korn is pretty deep and very encouraging in their songs.

7. Right Now- Release Year : 2003

.

Released in the year 2003, 鈥榬ight now鈥 is another masterpiece by Korn that will for sure blow your mind. It is a typical metal rock with lots of yelling and roaring but when you take the time to listen to its words, it is addressing some deep mental issues like self-harm. Which no one really talks about, to be honest. I think that鈥檚 why this group did really well at the height of their career. They never shied away from talking about things that society had tagged as taboo.

8. Evolution- Release Year: 2007

.

This is another song that managed to put pretty well by topping the billboard charts for a few weeks. It鈥檚 a bit more melodious than their typical other songs. The mashup between rhythm and metal genres is something that will always be fascinating and blow my mind whenever I listen to the song.

9. Alone I Break- Release Year: 2002

.

From its title, you can of course tell that it is a pretty deep song. Released in 2002, I would say this is my favourite Korn song because it is somewhat rhythmic and to be quite honest resonates so well with the struggles I鈥檝e faced before. It is no wonder it is a favourite to many. Just ask any metal head fan and they will most definitely mention it.

10. Somebody Someone- Release Year: 1999

.

Released in 1999, just when they were at the top of their career, Korn did well with this song to be quite honest. They managed to top the billboard charts and many fans would say it鈥檚 quite a good song that resonates with most of them.

11. Did my Time- Release Year: 2003

.

The moment it begins with the words, 鈥淩ealize I can never win, sometimes feel like I have failed, 鈥 they cut really deep. Especially if you have for sure struggled with mental health issues and feelings of inadequacy. The reason I love listening to Korn is how even though to most people their music is pure noise, they still have this power to talk to you through their songs. Let you know that everything will be okay eventually no matter how hazy everything is at the moment.

12. Shoots and Ladders- Release Year:1994

.

Released in 1994, this is another song that managed to top the billboard charts for a while. I mean, they did manage to mash up the rock genre with the Scottish bagpipes instruments. The end result was quite honestly magical. Not to mention that the message is also very alluring, a bit melancholy and nostalgic since they made pretty good use of a nursery rhyme. This is pure talent quite honestly.

13. Make me Bad- Release Year: 1999

.

The music video of this song definitely gives a star wars kind of vibe so that will definitely sell you. Other than that, I love how they use metaphorical analogies to try and address some of the things that make us go bad. In other words, most times society plays a role in creating villains. They are not always born.

14. Kill You- Release Year: 1996

.

This is another Korn song that apart from being deep, is also quite rhythmic and melodious. The fact that the song also addresses some of the mental health issues people face is definitely a plus too. It doesn鈥檛 come as a  surprise that it became such a success when it was released.

15. Clown- Release Year: 1994

.

Released in 1994, this is another gem that was done by Korn and managed to take the world by storm. It is a typical metal/rock song but what鈥檚 amazing is how you can still manage to sing along to it. This is the perfect song to have banging from your car radio as you are taking a long road trip, especially down a country road.
